A Gem in the Heart of Italy
clean room spacious bathroom comfortable bed helpful staff
I found my room to be clean. It had good light in both the main area and the bathroom. the spacious bathroom was a real plus for me. the bed was very comfortable, ensuring i rested well after each day. the staff always seemed ready to help with requests.
The price felt a bit steep for the overall experience. It did impact my budget MORE than i expected.

this hotel is approximately a twenty-minute walk from the main historical and cultural sites. the area offers several good restaurants, one notable greek restaurant sits just across the street. it is nice to have parking on-site for those driving.

the front desk staff are efficient and friendly. i borrowed a phone charger after the airline lost our luggage. when needed, front desk quickly arranged cab service. the service made a big difference for us, so we are thankful.

faulty air conditioning sealed windows
i was a bit frustrated . the air conditioning did not work, a major problem . the windows were also sealed shut, so i couldn't get any fresh air. this resulted in condensation and high humidity in the room after showering. it was really unpleasant.

A Few Misses
odd policies unexpected charge
The staff was fine, but some policies seemed a bit off for a hotel of this supposed caliber. I didn't get complimentary water because I booked through a certain website.. how odd. there was an unexpected charge of €6 for room service, supposedly normal here, I am told. It seems strange to me.. Finally, I had to pay the full amount upfront, yet they wanted cash for room service and other extras.

really good kindness clean room fresh options
the staff showed really good kindness and were always keen to assist me with directions (they had such patience!). the beautiful double room was very clean and well kept. i found the breakfast selection good, with many fresh options.
i found that the hotel's location required a bit of a walk to reach the city center, about twenty minutes to the main square.
